Enjoy a drink on your private woodland terrace or a soak in the wood-fired hot tub. Swing in a hammock listening to birds singing or cook up a storm on the BBQ and wood fired pizza oven - this is sure to be an escape like no other.
Don't forget you can bring up to two doggies with you. There is also a separate bedroom for two children or babies with bunk beds, telescope and colour changing lights.

For your caffeine fix, we have Nespresso machines and we provide you with the pods as well as fresh local ground coffee. We also have salt, pepper, olive oil, and vinegar.

When can I check in and check out?
Check in time is at 16.30, check out time is 10.00.
Are you child friendly?
Yes! The Hideout Treehouse has a room with bunk beds for two children or babies . There is children’s cutlery, plates, and bowls in the cupboard.
We can also provide any of the following so please just let us know:
- Highchair, Cot, Potty, Children’s toilet seat, Baby bath, Booster chair cushion, Bath mat
Can we bring dogs?
Absolutely yes. We welcome two doggies in the Hideout Treehouse.
They are charged at £25 per pet per stay and this includes water bowls, treat, toy, blankets, bed, emergency poo bags and first aid kit and shampoo,
There is a dedicated doggy bath with hot and cold water to wash off muddy paws after a long country walk. There are also night time light-up dog collars for you to use if you need to take a night-time toilet trip.
What is the bed layout?
The master bedroom has four poster super king size bed, and the second kids room has a bunk bed for 2 kids.
What else should I bring?
We recommend walking boots or wellies to get the most out of your stay and outdoor slippers/ flip flops to enjoy the outdoor terrace and hot tub. Don’t forget your camera to capture those unforgettable moments.
How am I going to remember all of this?
Don't worry you don't have to - once you book you will have access to our guests' app with lots of useful information on for you to maximise your stay.
Where can I walk to from my retreat?
All guests have access to enjoy 20 acres of winding paths through woodland, wildflower meadows, and along the river. You can also walk into Hartland village (10 minutes) where you will find pubs, coffee shop, a pottery and small shops. Pattard Restaurant is 5 minutes walk away. If you're feeling adventurous, head onto the coast path to Hartland Quay, Speak's Mill waterfall and Hartland Abbey.
How far away is the nearest beach?
Hartland Quay our local small pebble and rock beach is 3 miles away. Sandymouth beach, Instow, Westward Ho! and Sumerleaze beach are all within 15miles radius.
What are the available cooking facilities?
We have everything you need to bring any recipe to life!
- Oven, Electric hob, Undercounter Fridge/freezer, Outdoor wood-fired stove/BBQ, Outdoor wood-fired pizza oven, Local crockery, made and fired in Hartland.

Parking, EV Charger and Check-in
You will have your own dedicated parking space by the barn which is only a stones throw away from your retreat. There are wheelbarrows to help you with your bags. We will email you instructions on how to get to us with an access code to your key safe. It is a self-check in but if you would like help with your bags or to simply say hello and meet us upon your arrival just drop us an email or text.
There is one EV charger shared between 3 retreats by the main site entrance. Just drop us a message that you would like to use it during your stay.
Chilled bubbles and a welcome treat will be waiting for you to get you into the holiday mood right away. But the indulgence doesn't have to stop there; you can book yourself a private chef, have a hot tub ready to jump in, order a local food box or masseuse to look after you during your stay - you deserve it!
